You know, it occured to me that a cool ghoul weapon would be one of those slaughterhouse bolt shooting rigs like that guy from "No Country for Old Men" had, except you would have to get real close, probabaly closer than I would like. So maybe one of those adapted with a longer reach, maybe a five foot bolt tube, so you could stay further away.
EDIT: Did some quick research online, and have changed my mind. While theoretically this could work, these rigs are designed to be used at arms length, putting one too close to the ghoul. This does not eliminate the possiblity that something like this could be built to specs that would make it viable, but realisitically why would someone bother when there are little to no real advantages of having one of these? They are, nevertheless, pretty cool little rigs, but are way limited as to their use.
