    Children are what they learn....

and learning (and singing) about love peace and change is a positive thing.

Unlike Sarah Palin who drags her children, especially a Downs Syndrome infant, who needs structure and stability, all over the country and parades them on stage at all hours of the night.

I saw an old kids show from swedish public service back in the day (60s or 70s), where the kids were puzzling together FNL signs. I was quite upset, not because I didn't agree with the message, but rather because they were brainwashing kids at such young age.

I confronted someone from back in the day about this and he shrugged, and said "All they were doing was peicing together peace signs, just using a different name for it. But if they'd done that, you wouldn't have complained, would ya?"

And of course, he was right. If these kids were singing about change, reform and kindness, but omitted the word Obama, none of you guys would have complained. You're just jumping at any oppertunity to do so.

Well, it could also be a backlash or reasoned questioning of a what some view as a popular infatuation sweeping the nation. I don't know, I'm not so good at making blanket statements.

While I think it's kinda lame that someone actually wrote a song about Obama, I just view it as that: It's lame but still very meh.

How anyone could be bothered so strongly about people wanting to change the word for the better is beyond me. This is no different than from having your kids sing about Jesus or God. Both are on the same level of brainwashing.

I don't begrudge a progressive agenda, and I am not for either of the two 'Chosen One' candidates, but I will continue to be leery of rhetoric-born populism that is short on specifics.

Now, with regards to McCain, I have my own, very different, uncertainties. Both candidates fill me with apprehension and a sense of dread.

If praising Obama in songs is north korean (which I don't really disagree with) then I dare say that praising god in school is medieval. Yet both happen, and hey, that's the way the world works.
