So....what are your guesses at the title of this next movie? Twilight of the Dead? (UGHHHH)....Urbanised area of the Dead? Zed of the Dead? Drive-in of the Dead?

I was under the impression it was called Island Of The Dead.

I hope it's something like "Midnight" or "Planet" of the Dead.... wait, are those already taken?

Why would it be "planet"? Besides, there's already been "Planet Terror", so..."Midnight" is too time-specific, as well as a bit obvious, as is "Twilight" I would have figured. Island, or Isle of the Dead could be a possibility ... perhaps ... I think "of the Dead" in the title is a safe bet.

I reckon it'll start with Dead....something......like Dead Reckoning - but not...

I don't think they'll end up calling it "Island of the Dead". It's just a working title that they're using just now, but I think when it comes to distribution and negotiating with studios for a release they'll be asked to change it: it's so close to "Land of the Dead" that I think it would cause confusion However, I still think it will contain the words "...of the Dead", because even casual filmgoers associate that naming convention with Romero's films. The way distributors will see it, all the films directed by Romero containing these words in the title have made at least some profit. They will see it as a marketing hook.

I doubt it'll be ISLAND OF THE DEAD, not so much because of the 2000 movie of the same name. More likely RKO's remake of ISLE OF THE DEAD (1945), which will probably be a more prominent release, will preclude George using such a similar title. (Incidentally, Romero was briefly attached to the ISLE OF THE DEAD remake, as about six years ago, when whomever it is that owns the Val Lewton titles began showing interest in remaking them.)
