    Athiest fanatics?

Haven't fully perused these sites, but my mate emailed me these links of groups of athiests - a church for the 'unchurched' as they say, just thought this was interesting and that you chaps and chapettes might be interested to have a gander.

The 3 scariest words in any religion: COME JOIN US!
we've got spite and dedication as a vehement brew
the world hates us, well we hate them too
but you're exempted of course if you
    come and join us
    independent, self-contented, revolutionary
    intellectual, brave, strong and scholarly
if you're not one of them, you're us already so
    come and join us

I no longer refer to myself as an athiest. I think that people who do not believe in god are normal, and do not deserve a label.

I would consider myself as an agnostic. Not really sure what to believe.

Thats pretty much what I consider myself. I do think that there is a greater power out there but I really don't want to put a name on it.

That which does not destroy me has made a very grave tactical error...

Interesting theory there axlish...agnosticism has grown a lot over the last few decades I'd say, as well as atheism - religion and the church has ceased being a centre of the community, which in some ways is a sad thing because communities are now more spread out than ever. A community is just made up of strangers these days as everybody is moving everywhere else to find work. Ruth Kelly giving a big thumbs up to shoving tons of houses into rural areas just makes it even worse - that woman is a complete retard in need of a labotomy - we'll gain yet more anonimity, which ironically won't be the case with the Big Brother nanny state growing.

Bit of a segway, but it's all part of a point ... I think.

That is exactly how I feel, and I was not only baptised, but raised a catholic. I just couldn't endure the boring sermons anymore, nor the BS surround the religion. Like for example (no sex before marriage) what kind of BS is that?
