Tomb Raider Anniversary

I got this for PS2 recently. Yeah, yeah, I know I'm 3 years behind, and a generation short, but I'm poor, dammit! I can't afford to upgrade. Anyone else play this? It's a PS2 "remake" of the original Tomb Raider for PS1. I hate the controls (the PS1 games had the perfect scheme, why change?) but all in all, it's AWESOME! I love it! I'm just mad that they're not remaking II and III like this. Guys, this is a couple of dollars and time well spent! I highly recommend this for any Lara fans on here.

i had it for the xbox, it was fun but i preferred legend myself, but then i never really enjoyed the first tomb raider when it was brand new anyway.

I keep seeing this winking at me on steam, and im sorely tempted! But i need to finish some other games first, I keep buying stuff & not finishing it! Loved the original on the PS1, it looks shoddy by todays standards, but the 3D graphics and freedom in the gameworld were amazing back in the day! Then theres this tune that makes me feel terribly nostalgic these days..

I found a good vid that compares the original and Anniversary side-by-side, so you get a good look at the upgrades: A little dark, but you can still see the difference. Similar upgrades to TRII and III would be incredible. Just imagine the canyon in Nevada Desert getting this treatment.

Bought it for the x box 360, beat it. The best game in the franchise is the first. With the upgraded graphics it's not even close, imo. It really is amazing when you compare this to the original side by side. Makes me think how we'll look and games made now 15 years from now. I have no idea why remakes of popular classics aren't more prevalent. They did it with the original RE back in 2001-02 as well. Now all they need to do is the same wirh RE 2 and we'll be cooking with fire. Seriously that would be epic.
