Hungry man who killed swan jailed

    Man?

The comments from this lunatic, combined with what he was actually up in court for ... leaves me with only one viable course of action ... a large fine, a good kicking, and deportation!!!

    Talk sh1t, get hit!

Say what? Has this guy heard of Kentucky Fried Chicken?

    What, no pigeons close by?

Here in the US people hunt Tundra Swan, the taste is very similar to goose (fairly sweet but greasy meat). Not too bad if it's oven cooked into a hot dish.

Beware the beast, man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him, drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death.

Mute swans in the UK are considered property of the crown, ever since the inbreds in charge of the country at that time decided it would be nice to deny yet more to the common man. These days i think the scope of ownership is limited to the south of england (this is from memory so i could be wrong).

Whatever, the guy needs punishing, and virtually everything in that article - from the killing of the swan through to the reaction by the authorities - read wrong.

Strange. If your hungry go to the store. Seems odd to kill a swan in public. But 2 months seems extreme for just killing a swan for food.

Go to the store???? Kentucky Fried Chicken????

You guys seem to be forgetting one little detail in those suggestions.

Uh, you need money for that. Look at the guy, he is obviously broke.

I never thought for a second while I was reading it, that man even had the means to go to the store. I took it as that was his only option for eating as he had no money or any other subsitence (sp?).

I may be dead wrong, but that is how I took it.

'I hate the Queen, I hate this country.'"

Go home. No really, don't like it that much? Go home.

I dislike my government, but they don't kill their own citizens as often as some, and they support you as best they can when you're broke. Quite frankly, I love my country and the people in it.

That's before you get onto the unlicensed killing of animals, not using a stun gun and it being a method of sheer cruelty.

The swan was clearly evil and needed to be destroyed...
