breif recap of my thoughts MICROSOFT: kinect is a god aweful name, natal was better. the only decent game sounds like child of eden, the spiritual sequel for rez HD. almost everything looked like prerendered footage and it wouldnt surprise me. Honestly kinect is incredibly underwhelming and for more than my wii cost for what appears to be eyetoy shovelware im not buyin'. Waiting for the gears 3 and fable 3 panels, there the only 360 exclusives left- bar the inevitable mass effect 3 that i give a shit about. This has hands down been the worst microsoft e3 yet, if anything it puts me off the 360, its current direction just aint looking like my kinda gaming. NINTENDO: in two words "HOLY.FUCK" So we have new games zelda: the skyward sword, donkey kong country returns, kirbys epic yarn, metroid other M and, to my surprise, Kid icarus uprising for 3DS! Then we have the 3ds, before now i didnt give two shits but the announcement blew me away. heres the rundown: GRAPHICS: AS GOOD AS THE 360, REALLY. CAMERAS: one inner, two outer for taking 3d pictures and recording 3d video 2gb cards for downloadable games and existing ds titles. analogue control pad and 3d depth slider added to existing buttons repetoir. lower ds touchscreen, upper HD widescreen. Not only plays 3ds,ds and wiiware games, but plays hd 3d video. with downloadable movies form the likes of pixar, disney and more. WIRELESS: either connect to other 3ds's or the local wi-fi ports or uses nintendos own 3g style service which like the psn will be absolutely free. Upcoming games: Golden sun, the dark dawn. Just watching the end of Sony's confrence right now, and I'm really disappointed that Move turned out to be an exact copy of Wii Motion+. At least Kinect is trying something new, even if the software isn't quite there yet. Also, 3DS = mindblowing, people apparently love it. Graphics aren't nearly as good as PS3/360 like hellsing said though, more like PS2 levels: Unfortunately you can't see the 3D effect without actually holding the unit, but here are some screens anyway: Trying to find pics of Metal Gear Solid 3DS...

Goldeneye is an instant purchase for me. LOVED the original. Very fond memories. I know Craig is the current Bond, but shouldn't a game based on Goldeneye have the same actor that played in Goldeneye? Brosnan wasn't available?

even with the 3D tech, it's sad to see nintendo still pimping the same tired shit 20 years later...hard to believe people actually clapped when that video started playing. and i'm also calling bs on link carrying that giant sword sheathed behind his back like that. his arms would have to be like 5 feet long to get that sword out.

theres a screenshot from e3 doing the rounds of a mario galaxy 2 screenshot. on the device in a guys hands, not a cropped image. a live photo. Now it could be a video for recent releases to show HD but the 3ds can do wii graphics so who knows? Personally i love it on a big hd tv, but with the tilt sensor and gyroscope built in a mario galaxy port is totally possible and the first is to my mind the greatest platformer nintendos made so this would shift a LOT of units. they always do try to pimp em out with a mario game dont they? the ds got a 64 port. the gba a snes port. this might be real.

Playstation move is looking kinda hot for what it is, turning your ps3 games into wii control ps3 games, for the price of a game it can make some games playable in a different way, should breath some new life into older games and make for some new additions to new ones. Its not a console seller for me, but since i already own a ps3, and frankly use it so much more than my wii or 360, i'll buy it, should be fun. and i imagine its gonna be more responsive than kinect. The 3ds is not hd. The 3ds does not have 360 graphics. The 3ds does have snake eater 3d and a resident evil game...So I guess im gonna get back into portable gaming.

3DS is on par with Wii the difference is 3DS games get top developers and resources. After seeing Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil I feel Nintendo really need to work on Ocarina of Time 3DS to make it look like Twilight Princess. A fair criticism of 3DS is that it's mostly ports but IMO at least their the right ports, why bother with Starfox Command 2, Metal Gear Solid 2.5 or 'almost porkchops' when you can have steak? I feel the 3DS has been the best hardware at the show.
