Haha, nah I wasn't. I was just saying that they were the reason why Chanukah happened. They treated the high priest in Jerusalem like a political office instead of a religious position. Which led to the Maccabees and some Guerrilla warfare. Though the Holiday is more about the re dedication of the temple from Mercury to God then about the war itself. Regardless though. |
