    The Saint (TV series)

Note the interesting cameos (towards the end)!

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Very nice promo.
The Saint is one of those shows that is doesn't need a strong loyalty to any one actor in the lead. So long as the character history is maintained to some degree, it can be redone quite easily. I did not see a lot of Roger Moore's Simon Templer ( only because as a military brat we were moving around at that time ) but I did manage to catch most of Ian Ogilvy's run, and I thought The Saint movie (with Val Kilmer ) was OK.

And Eliza Dushku's still fairly nice on the eyes, which is never a bad.

About the only thing I remember about Ogilivy's run was the beautiful Jaguar XJS
