ZOMBIE the movie, why are all thier eyes closed?

Anyone ever notice that in the movie zombie, all of thier eyes are closed??? whats up with that?? they look silly! i think it's an ok enough movie but i'm puzzled.

a few are still opened, but it seems like its just those who've recently turned well, cept for the underwater one, his eyes appear to be open that is weird tho, like they're blind or something

yeah, i guess i just noticed most were closed exept the underwater one. weird!!!

i think they tried to turn em up into there head but that makes your eyelids close so they did that to save on those white eye things from the evil dead, sounds like a fulci budget cut too me

You know, I never really paid that much attention to it but your so right! Now I have to go back and watch it again. Shucks isn't that aweful.

Maybe it was done to give the dead a more supernatural "voodoo" feel. With their eyes closed something "mysterious" must be guiding them to find their prey.
