Awesome, thanks for the link coma. I'll check this out tonight. Carpenter has always been one of my favorite filmmakers. I just wish he'd stop letting people remake his damn movies.

I recently re-watched The Fog, in fact I'd only seen it once before, and that was when I bought the video in London when I was 14 ... being ever-so-daring as it was rated 15 at the time, haha!

Anyway, at the time I wasn't a fan, but I watched it the other day and it sh*t me up big style, gave me trouble sleeping, and it just oozed with utter talent in the genre from Carpenter. A superb film ... I might watch the remake, just to see how f*cking atrocious it is...

Ug, I got fed up of the money talk as well, I'm not sure whether he's trying to be jokey about it, but it just comes off a dickish and makes you feel even more that he completely sold out and stopped making good movies...I guess he really gave in to the money side of things, if you're not that kind of person, then you continue to strive for good art...but if you're sitting cosy not putting the word "a" before you name the million consoles you own, then why bother making some quality films?

I dig it. I like Carpenters attitude towards money. He's been ****ed over a couple of times in Hollywood, so if I were him I would happily sit back and accept paycheck after paycheck without doing anything.

John Carpenter has a new game coming out for the 360 and the ps3. It's entitled, "John Carpenter's Psychopath."

Like putting his name on John Carpenter's Vampires: Los Muertos ?

Alomst watched it last night and noticed the "John Carpenter presents". I guess his reputation means nothing to him. His name starts to be associated with junk and his easy checks will stop.
Reminds me of "Quentin Tarantino presents" which means a very crappy movie.

If you rent the Vampires Los Muertos DVD be sure to check out the directors commentary. Lot of good discussion about the toils of filming in Mexico. Great comment track.
