    Now I like this...

Make 9/11 a day of good deeds, rather than a day of mourning and sadness - i.e. "take it back" from those who caused the atrocities and showed how bad mankind can be. Instead use the day to show how good mankind can be - I like that idea, sounds like a good idea.

    That is a good idea.

Sadly, just yesterday(9/10) I learned that a good childhood friend(from about 5 yrs old to 19 yrs old) was killed in a road side bomb in Iraq. I learned he was killed just one day before the date that started the whole war, 9/11........

Thanks. It's cool though. He knew the risk. He made the ultimate sacrifice for his country, so that makes him a hero in my book.

I think its great... its like donating blood or bone marrow on your birthday... I think people have a duty to do good things out of graciousness for being lucky enough to be alive or to be able to do something others can't like running 5ks to educate people on heart disease or breast cancer...
You smell that? That's the smell of spring, and I love it. You know what I love to do in spring? I love to come out into the woods, to walk amongst the budding trees, to smell and taste the hint of renewal that hovers in the air like a heady perfume, and to listen to the song of the birds who have returned from their long sojourn south. And bury the people I killed during the winter...
