George Romero at Golden Apple Comics Photos and Video

The Golden Apple Comics store located in Hollywood California, was the place to be on the Saturday afternoon of February 9th. Hundreds of fans patiently lined up around the block, to eagerly meet the zombie master himself, director George A. Romero.George was there to promote his newest and highly anticipated film "Diary of The Dead." On the table next to where he was sitting, was a monitor showing the trailer. While I waited in line, I must have watched it 50 or so times. Let me tell you, it's going to be amazing.As usual, George was the gentle ever so humble guy you always meet. Always cordial, meeting each and every fan with a smile, George signed every item each fan brought for him to sign, no matter if it was one item or five. That's George for you. You can see clearly how much he appreciates his fans. Since I arrived there early,(thank God I did) I was lucky to score a free pass for the screening of "Diary Of The Dead" this February 14th, at the Famous Chinese Mann Theatre. Now that's what I call the ultimate date movie for Valentine's day!!!!! If you have never had the honor to meet Mr. George A. Romero, I certainly hope you get the chance to. He is truly worth waiting in line for, no matter how long it is. I have the utmost respect for this man, who is by no doubt one of the biggest icons of this horror genre in which we all love. all I can say is glad to see somebody promoting this movie, even it is just George himself and a comicbook store!

When you met him did you ask him when/if Diary is going into wide release. Also when you get a chance after watching Diary you should tell us what you thought of it, but leave out any spoilers.
